But last month, having once again secured a place in a magazine’s pick of the six best Edinburgh Italian restaurants, it seems Itri can do no wrong.
It’s hardly a surprise to those who know and love this restaurant to find out it has bagged yet another rave review since it opened its doors last July.
Under the ownership of authentic Italian chefs – including the talented Antonio Soscia – the restaurant has gone from strength to strength.
Nestled in the unlikely location of Gilmore Place, Itri offers mouthwatering Italian food at reasonable prices, delighting locals for the past year and visitors to the King’s who make use of it as a pretheatre venue. Choose from a wide range of dishes, including a traditional carbonara (GBP 8.95); a fresh Swordfish steak (GBP 12.95); or pasta with broccoli and Italian sausages (GBP 9.95).
